Our Vision

Following Jesus
Building Community
Famous for Love

We exist to help everyone get to know Jesus personally, to be a welcoming community where people can experience his love and grow as his disciples, and to equip them to share his love with others.

Our Vision

Following Jesus.

We believe:

  • that Jesus should be at the centre of everything that we do. We aim to point people to him and to worship him with the whole of our lives. As a church, our aim is to become more like Jesus (Philippians 3.10-11).

  • in the importance of Bible based, relevant teaching and its effectiveness as a tool to help us encounter God personally, and to form and transform our character and actions (2 Timothy 3.14-17).

  • in the importance of prayer both individually and collectively. We encourage people to spend time with God, to talk to Him and listen to what He’s saying to them (Acts 2:42; Philippians 4:6).

  • that people who are not yet Christians matter to God and should be given an opportunity to discover who He is in in a way that works for them, wherever they are at in life (Luke 15).

Building Community.

We believe:

  • that we need each other, because you cannot effectively live the Christian life on your own. We believe that people should be part of a Christian community and regularly meet together to worship, read the Bible, pray and to do life together.

  • that it’s important to spend time with God and with each other, and that He wants us to be innovative and creative in our worship, evangelism and life together (2 Corinthians 5.7).

  • we are called to be disciples of Jesus, not solely churchgoers so we need to regularly invest in our own relationship with Him (1 Corinthians 3.1-3). We want to see people grow in their experience of God, their knowledge of the Bible, and to equip them to bring others to faith in Jesus.

  • that we should be people of integrity and honesty in all that we do, every day of the week and not just on a Sunday (Matthew 5.13-15). Following Biblical principals, we seek to speak well of others and to encourage them in every aspect of their lives.

  • that the world is made up of different people, all of whom are of equal value to God and to whom he has given gifts to be used in his service. Everyone has a ministry and we encourage people to discover and use the gifts that God has given them. (Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians Chapters 12-14; Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 4:11-13).

Loving Gorseinon.

We believe:

  • that, following Jesus’ example, we exist to serve others before ourselves.

  • in the importance of sharing the Good News about Jesus with others so that they can experience God’s love for themselves.

  • that the church should be a place of openness, honesty and love. We want people of every age and stage in life to feel welcome, supported, valued and respected.

  • that we have a responsibility to respect and serve God’s world, locally and globally. We want to be people that serve our own community, always seeking to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world (Colossians 3:15-17).
